Investment Immigration in Public Projects
Korean government confirms certain investment projects and gives permanent residency to foreigners who invest in the projects to develop rural areas in Korea.
(similar to Canada's PR Card or the US's Green Card)
Generally, the lowest investing amount is 500 million KRW with a cycle of at least 5 years. The initial investment is guaranteed by the Korean government. The only risk investors might take is loss of interest. Therefore, the rick burdened on investors are as small as loss of interest.
After your deposit gets confirmed, based on the bank certificates and related materials, you can apply for F-2 residence visa (it will be issued only for investors and his/her spouse, and the children shall get family accompany visa). Its effective period will be 2 years. After 2 years, by extending it to 5 years, you will be qualified to get F-5 permanent residence visa. F-5 permanent residence visa has no period of validity. Clients with F-5 visa can live in Korea permanently if only you do not violate Korean law severely. Compared with Korean citizens, you only lack the right to vote.

in Real Estate
Korean government gives F-2 residential status to investors who invest not less than 500 million KRW in facilities designated by the Minister of Justice, to develop tourism in Korea. Investors with this status can further receive F-5 permanent residence visa by holding house property for at least 5 years in Korea. After receiving permanent residence visa, investors can sell their house property without losing residential right.
